''The Youth’s Attitude Toward The Monks In The Regional ''

Abstract

 

                The global  societies  have  been  continuously  changed.   Material   progress  has  been  going  very  fast.  Now,  new  generation  of  people  are  estranged  from  a  temple  and  religious  practice.  This  research  aims  at  studying  the  youth’s  attitude  toward  the  monks.  The  populations  are  the  youth  in  the  regional  administration  of  The  Sangha, region 10.  The  samples are 306 young  students of the  private  institutes,  in  the  level  of  the  higher  vocational  certificate  in  Ubonratchathani  Province,  which  is the stratified random sampling.  The research methodology is rating scale of   standard deviation, comparison of the attitude among the samples, T- test  and  analysis  of  single  variance.  The result  of  research  is  found  that:

                The  43.8%  youth  are  male.  The  56.2 %  of  them  are  female.  The  70.6 %  them are mostly in 22-25 years of age.  The 54.2  of  them  are  studying   in  the  second  year.  The  45.8  of  them are studying in the  first  year.   The 40.8%  of  their  guardians  are  agriculturalists.  The 30.4% of them are general  employees.  The 17.0% of  them  have  private  business.  The 11.8%  of  them  are  government  officials.

                Totally, the youth have  good  attitude,  feeling,  opinion  and  conduct  toward  the  monks.  Their  attitude  is  in  the  percentage  of  3.81, 3.87  and  3.93  from  total  5  scores  respectively.  The  young  people  whose  guardians  are  general  employees  have  better attitude, feeling, opinion  and  conduct  toward  the  monks  than  the  youth  whose guardians have occupations of agriculture, private business government  officials.  Meanwhile, the  youth  who are different in sex,  age  and  the  year of  studies  totally  have  the  same  attitude  of  feeling, opinion  and  conduct  toward  the  monks.
